Three associations are calling for long-term incentives for energy-efficient building modernization with a focus on energy efficiency and electrification and the reduction of CO2 emissions in the building sector. The German Heat Pump Association (BWP), the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (ZVEH) and the German Electrical and Digital Manufacturers' Association (ZVEI) have made several proposals in this regard.<\/p>\n
The ZVEI believes that there has been a modernization and refurbishment backlog in Germany for years and is therefore calling for a refurbishment rate of at least three percent for heating systems and six percent for lighting, among other things. According to the ZVEH, advice and implementation by electrical contractors must also be eligible for funding. The BWP is calling for the EEG levy to be abolished.<\/p>\n
In addition, the three associations are calling for Building Information Modeling (BIM) to become standard in the planning of new buildings and fundamental renovation measures.
