They spent two years tinkering with it.<\/p>\n<p>The result is a cable robot that can build a storey of standard sand-lime bricks within a few hours. It can also move bricks, insert lintels and apply mortar. The cable robot works using a BIM model. During this digital process, data is sent to the robot.<\/p>\n<p>According to UED, the cable robot is not intended to make people superfluous in the construction industry, but could help to counteract the shortage of skilled workers.
