It must be clearly displayed or presented without being asked. This has now been pointed out by Deutsche Umwelthilfe (DUH).<\/p>\n<p>In this case, DUH found that the obligation to provide information had been disregarded during two open viewings of apartments. The energy performance certificate had been provided to interested parties in advance in the invitations, but not at the viewings themselves. The DUH then took the matter to the Berlin Regional Court (LG). The LG ruled in its favor (Az LG Berlin 101 O 15\/20).<\/p>\n<p>According to DUH, the ruling is important for the following reasons: prospective buyers and tenants can recognize energy-intensive buildings, learn more about the climate impact and also derive the future final energy costs, for example for heating.
