Patrica Hamm, lecturer at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Project Management at Biberach University of Applied Sciences (HBC), is investigating this question. Together with Master's students Johannes Ruf and Valentin Kn\u00f6pfle and the project partner, Primin Jung Deutschland GmbH, she wants to develop a vibration-optimized ceiling system for large span widths.<\/p>\n<p>The students tested the constellations they created in this context in a warehouse at Max Wild GmbH in Berkheim. They carried out almost 2,500 measurements under a ceiling area of around 150 square meters. To do this, they attached measuring points to the ceiling and generated vibrations in the room in various ways, for example by jogging on the spot. However, they were not yet satisfied with their constellations.<\/p>\n<p>They therefore created and integrated vibration dampers. \"This enabled us to significantly reduce the vibrations in the ceiling, although not stop them completely,\" says Patricia Hamm. The ceiling panel has now been dismantled and the measurement results are being evaluated.
