From January 1, 2024, every newly installed heating system must be powered by at least 65% renewable energy. This mandatory switch to renewable energies will also be enshrined in law in a new Building Energy Act. If private owners or small private landlords of up to six residential units have climate-friendly heating installed, they receive a basic subsidy of 30 percent. Additional climate bonuses are also planned. For example, owners who are obliged to replace their heating system and exceed the legal requirements can receive these.<\/p>\n
