The architecture project \"Hive Home - Living in the City of the Future\" at Koblenz University of Applied Sciences has received funding of 156,000 euros from the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy and Mobility. The project focuses on the realization of an ecological living concept that enables comfortable living in a small space. The Tinyhouse was designed by students and is based on a modular, wood-based construction method.<\/p>\n
\"Hive Home\" is characterized by its compact design, as it fits into the space of just 1.5 car parking spaces. The central element in the Tinyhouse is a multifunctional piece of furniture that can be used for sleeping, living and eating. The innovative living concept is in line with the vision of urban-friendly living and efficient use of space.<\/p>\n
Several modules can also be combined to form larger residential complexes. The first implementation of the project is to be realized in Koblenz. Once completed, the Tinyhouse is expected to initially be displayed near the train station in 2025 and later return to the campus to be occupied by students.<\/p>\n
