These developments aim to implement more sustainable and efficient heating solutions that meet the diverse requirements of the German housing stock.<\/p>\n<p>In this project, Fraunhofer ISE is working with a consortium of twenty companies from the heating industry to test the direct replacement of fossil fuel heating systems with propane heat pumps. These are designed especially for smaller homes that require little conversion work. The demonstrators show that the heat pumps can also work efficiently in different heating load ranges of buildings. This underlines the versatility of this technology.<\/p>\n<p>The researchers want to continue to drive innovative solutions for energy efficiency and the use of sustainable technologies in residential construction.
