A study by the German Property Federation (ZIA) shows how crucial the early adaptation of sustainability, digitalization and social change is for the future direction of the industry. Companies are being urged to develop innovative solutions in order to adapt to the predicted changes and strengthen their competitiveness.<\/p>\n<p>The study presents various scenarios for the real estate industry up to 2050, including optimistic forecasts that are strongly influenced by digitalization, the integration of artificial intelligence and the increasing importance of ESG criteria. ESG stands for the terms environmental, social and governance.<\/p>\n<p>Dystopian scenarios are also presented to serve as a warning. These describe the risks that could arise if the necessary steps towards a digital and sustainable transformation are not implemented.
