Attracting more trainees in skilled trades - this is the goal of the Association of German Chambers of Skilled Crafts (DHTK) in collaboration with its partner Meta. The DHTK is therefore now using a video on various social media channels to draw attention to the numerous professions that exist in the skilled trades sector. For example, interested parties can train to become a metalworker, an electrical engineer or a motor vehicle mechatronics technician.
According to the DHTK, not only can visible changes be achieved through skilled trades, but skilled tradespeople can also play a part in the climate transition. "By choosing a career, young people can make a contribution to greater sustainability. We are delighted to be showcasing the careers on offer in the skilled trades on our social media channels, where young people can find information, share content and exchange ideas," says Eva-Maria Kirschsieper, Director of Sustainability for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region at Meta.
Interested parties can watch the video on Facebook (facebook.com/handwerk/videos/516825113436841/), Instagram (instagram.com/p/CksWJtuKEXp/) or Twitter (twitter.com/MetaGermany/status/1589897941862735873). On the handwerk.de website, they can also find information on apprenticeships in the various skilled trades, receive career and application tips and can also use an apprenticeship radar for apprenticeships and internships.
